Renowned drummer and percussionist Norbert Goldberg brings together an extraordinary trio for an intimate evening at Jazz on Main in Mt. Kisco, featuring acclaimed pianist Yaron Gershovsky and two-time Grammy Award–winning bassist Boris Kozlov. Gershovsky, widely celebrated for his decades-long tenure as musical director and arranger for The Manhattan Transfer, pairs his virtuosic keyboard work and harmonic sophistication with Kozlov’s foundational drive and deep groove—honed as director of the Mingus Big Band and collaborator with legends like Michael Brecker and Eddie Palmieri. Anchored by Norbert’s nuanced, world-influenced rhythmic sensibility, the trio bridges jazz traditions, Latin and Brazilian rhythms, and inventive improvisation through jazz standards and original compositions. Their performance promises an exceptional display of musical dialogue, bringing three master instrumentalists together for a compelling live showcase.
